About the "Parent Zero"
Meet Dimitri Chapov, the man whose life reads like a whirlwind tour of confusion, curiosity, and communication! Born in the Asian heart of the Soviet Union in '67, he bolted for the USA while still in short pants. With a penchant for numbers bigger than his homeland's vast steppes, he tackled math and physics at university, only to find himself trapped in the wilds of computer programming, business analysis, and management consulting — a journey as twisted as a Rubik's Cube in a tornado.
Amidst the chaos, Dimitri's true love shone through like a beacon in a foggy harbor: teaching! Whether it's coaxing numbers to behave or wrangling words into submission, Dimitri's passion knows no bounds. From teaching Math and Physics to youngsters to taming the unruly beast known as Business English Communications, he's done it all with flair and finesse.
With a resume as colorful as a rainbow and a linguistic arsenal sharper than a samurai sword, Dimitri has traversed the globe, leaving a trail of bemused locals and baffled bureaucrats in his wake. He's dabbled in more languages than your average polyglot dreams of, but let's be real — Russian and English are his bread and butter, while the rest are just sprinkles on his linguistic cupcake. "Esperanto included!" he chuckles, as if to say, "Why not add a little spice to the alphabet soup of life?"
Dimitri's still kicking, still teaching, and still charming the socks off anyone who dares cross his path. With him around, every day is an adventure, every conversation a rollercoaster ride through the wilds of knowledge and wit. Get ready to meet Dimitri—you won't regret it!
Here's a blast from the past: a very young Dimitri hunched over his computer, surrounded by a haze of smoke, is toiling as a System Computer Programmer in Vienna, Austria, in 1991. (Yeap! It was his first [and last] compiler.)
A typical chain-smoking geek? Not anymore! Nowadays he smokes pipe and even wears a Heisenberg-style fedora. Dimitri's the man with the plan — and the pipe!
